Sun-Yong Lee

Professor of Semiconductor and Display Manufacturing Process

From 1984 to 2016, Sun-Yong Lee worked for Samsung Electronics, specializing in semiconductor and display manufacturing system design. 32 years of work experience, including strategic experience of influencing senior-level strategic deliverables across the organization, developing and driving roadmaps of memory IC/LCD/OLED production, diagnosing needs, and solving high-value manufacturing/business problems, as well as MES, operational experience of the construction, sustaining, maintenance, and administration of semiconductor/display manufacturing lines and support facilities systems.

Sun-Yong Lee received a B.S. degree in electronics from the Kwang woon University, Seoul, Korea, in 1980 and an MBA in Big Data from the Business School Lausanne, Switzerland in 2018. He received a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the Business School Lausanne (BSL) and a Ph.D. degree in business administration from Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies (aSSIST) in Seoul, South Korea in 2020.

Sun-Yong Lee’s research interests include mass product management, innovation by technology, and big data analysis with data mining, machine learning, deep learning, computational intelligence, pattern recognition, and signal processing.
