Prof. of Research and Economics
Robert Goedegebuure, is founder and director of StatMind BV, a company specialized in the development of statistical courses. Currently he is setting up DBA and PhD programmes in Africa, with European universities and local partners in Africa (among others, Eastern and Southern African Management Institute; ESAMI). In 2017, StatMind has joined forces with several specialized partners in setting up the Limburg Graduate School of Business (LGSB). The focus of LGSB is on developing innovative programs (e.g. in research methods, and data science); in setting up high-end educational programmes in developing countries; and in supporting these blended-learning programs with high-tech e-learning platforms.
In addition, he holds a position as research professor at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. He has worked as Associate Professor of International Business & Marketing at the Maastricht School of Management (MSM; Netherlands) for more than ten years and Affiliated Professor at Centrum Catolica (Lima, Peru). He is Research Fellow at Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. He holds a PhD in International Business from Erasmus University/Rotterdam School of Management. He has worked in marketing research; (official) statistics; and education at university level.
He has specialized in the impact of internationalization on firm strategies and industrial policies. He has performed research projects for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, European organizations (European Commission; Eurostat) and international institutions (OECD), and acted as the team leader in technical assistance projects in the former Soviet Union Republics. In addition, he has authored numerous courses in marketing and marketing research. He has fulfilled teaching assignments (international business and marketing; research methodology; economics) and research projects in countries all over the globe. He is currently the supervisor/mentor for 20 international DBA/PhD students, and ten DBA students have graduated under his supervision in recent years. He has set up research and DBA-programs (over 50 students enrolled) in the East-African region. In 2007 and 2008 he has worked as Associate Professor in International Business & Marketing at IMT Dubai.
Robert Goedegebuure holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (Majors in Commercial Economics, and Quantitative Economics) and a PhD in Internationalization from Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
