Professor of Mandarin Chinese Language

Linxi Chen is a Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language professor.

She taught Chinese at “Zhonghua Chinese School” in Rome for 5 years, after which she started working at the American Overseas School of Rome from 2012 to 2016, and is currentlyeaching IGSE and IBDP level B Mandarin Chinese at the St. George’s British International School of Rome.

Teaching brings Linxi constantly renewed joy, as a signle teaching method can’t be applied to all situations.

Students vary, times change, and as a teacher, she feels like one needs to keep
learning, changing, adjusting, experimenting and readjusting. Teaching humbles her and she feels that students surprise and challenge her, which is a constant reminder that there remains much to be learned—and she enjoys being a lifelong learner.

Linxi’s goal is to help students learn the Chinese language and culture, and make the learning process enjoyable for them.
