Alaa Rady

Adjunct Professor of Corporate Finance & Feasibility Studies

Alaa Rady is a Board Member in several leading financial institutions in Egypt like Sewedy Capital (Family Office), EFG Finance subsidiaries (EFG Leasing, ValU). He has a great experience in leading Turnarounds and Transformations (previously as CEO of a post-acquisitions turnaround with Philip Morris International in the Levant, then as CEO for Kazyon in Egypt). Currently, he is advising several clients on Transformation in a non-executive capacity.

Alaa held several leadership positions in multinationals with sizeable operations including startups, turnarounds, and high growth markets for Mars Inc. and Bain & Co across more than 10 countries in Europe and the MENA region. He was previously a co-founder of Enmaa Financial Services, a boutique investment bank with offices in Egypt and KSA (closed transactions for more than 300M US$ over 8 years across the MENA region), Angel investor (current portfolio includes Dawi Clinics, Karm Solar, Spider, Checkmate and Careem). Alaa is highly involved with VCs as Investor (ex. Endure), and as Investment Committee Member (Egypt Ventures).

Alaa taught at AUC as Professor of Practice, at Citadel Capital Financial Services Center as Executive Education Professor focusing on integrating the corporate world into the Academic one. In SSM Cairo, Dr. Alaa provides corporate Finance and feasibility studies courses.

Alaa holds a BSc in Construction Engineering, Minor in Business Administration from AUC in 1999, an MBA from INSEAD/Wharton in 2003, and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Wharton Business School in 2017.
